Ta zapomniana polska odmiana fasoli ma niepodległościową narrację, a w czasach zaborów była zabroniona z powodu kojarzenia jej z godłem polskim (orłem). Postarajmy się właśnie w ten dzień, aby nie zmarnowały się starania polskich chłopów, rolników i ogrodników, którzy w czasach zaborów podejmowali ryzyko uprawy tej fasoli w geście patriotycznym i pod karą chłosty, a nawet więzienia.❤️

This forgotten Polish bean variety has an independence narrative, and during the Poland’s partitions it was forbidden because of its association with the Polish emblem (an eagle). Let’s make an effort exactly on this day so that we don’t waste the struggle of Polish peasants, farmers and gardeners, who during the partitions took the risk of growing this bean in a patriotic gesture and under the penalty of flogging and even prison.❤️
